Due to recent award of a prestigious earthworks contract, we are now looking to add a Site Agent to our highly effective and hardworking Contracting team. This will be working with a Joint Venture of two market leading Tier 1 Main Contractors alongside their public-sector client who leads in highways and infrastructure.

Role Insight
  • Day to day responsibility for the delivery of major highways project, from contract award to completion.

  • To ensure quality of service and profitability is maximised within the project and that best value is delivered.

  • To enforce and maintain HSE standards as required.

  • To enforce and maintain quality standards as defined by national standards, client contractual agreements and the company’s policies.

  • To develop, maintain and deliver works to an agreed programme.

  • To build and develop skilled personnel to support the successful delivery of the project.

  • Assist with production of contract programme and regular updates to track progress.

  • Assist with production of short term programme.

  • Assist with monthly cost file review and cost/ value reporting.

  • Weekly labour and plant reconciliations.

  • Procurement for plant and materials.

  • Review and authorisation of RAMS.

  • Ensure a defect free project handover.

Key Skills/Qualifications required
  • SMSTS minimum required.

  • Must have Earthworks experience

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a Major Highways and Infrastructure capacity is desirable.

  • Confident communicator with experience of working with Tier 1 main contractors.

  • Thorough understanding of safety, environmental and quality management processes.

  • Confident communicator with excellent management skills.

  • Full UK Driving License required.
