An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Technical Waste department.This is a fixed-term contract for a duration of 9 months to cover maternity leave.
Role Insight
  • To review and assess wastes in accordance with WM3, Permit conditions and best practice.

  • To ensure accurate assessments of waste.

  • To ensure compliance with all licences and permits.

  • Ensure waste acceptance procedures are compliant.

  • Handle incoming telephone calls from clients and potential clients including technical queries.

  • Carry out administrative duties in support of the sales function generally including production of statutory paperwork and waste container labels.

  • Support Classification Labelling and Packaging tasks from other internal businesses.

  • Update Maximizer with new customer details and quotations.

  • Process account forms.

  • Raise Purchase Orders.

  • Review waste credits.

  • Record borehole logs for contracting.

  • Check Tipping Report.

  • Consignment Notes.

  • Log WAFs.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers and staff as required.

  • Follow up sales leads and chase new opportunities.

  • Follow Company computerised procedures to ensure full audit trail is in place.

  • Any other reasonable duties as requested by the Company.

Key Skills/Qualifications required
  • Computer literate.

  • Excellent Commercial acumen.

  • Experience in the waste industry, both hazardous and non-hazardous is desirable.

  • Experience in WM3 an advantage.

  • Strong computer skills, to be able to work on own initiative, self-motivator and confident in dealing with people.

  • Numerate and excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to work to deadlines, strong problem-solving skills.

  • Experience with classified waste and hazardous soils would be desirable.
