Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you’ll be responsible for all aspects of credit control including the development and improvement of processes and management of the Credit Control team. You’ll provide line management of the Credit Control team and have the passion and commitment to drive change. You’ll join a friendly, professional and highly focussed team.

Role Insight
  • To provide leadership to our team of credit controllers and administrator

  • You are required to have a hands-on approach by managing your own ledger.

  • To develop and roll out our group credit control processes and procedures

  • Take ownership of any issues and ensure that an effective resolution is reached by liaising with key stakeholders.

  • Management of all legal proceedings in line with the Pre-Action Conduct and Protocol

  • To continuously review customer accounts, ensuring cash is being collected to payment terms.

  • To conduct regular reviews of credit limits by analysing customer sales turnover information.

  • Authorisation of new credit applications, ensuring our policy procedures are followed, and that all required documentations is completed.

  • Producing weekly and monthly reports to the Group Finance Director for presentation at Board Level

  • To assist with audits by ensuring all necessary documents are provided to Auditors as and when required.

  • You will be responsible for the developments and further enhancements of IT systems and processes across credit control, ensuring efficiency of processes and accuracy of data is produced at all times.

  • Ensure that effective procedures are in place to minimise bad and doubtful debts and establish accurate and timely bad debt provision.

Key Skills/Qualifications required
  • Significant relevant management experience in credit control.

  • Proficiency in database reporting.

  • Provision of quality advice and recommendations to senior staff and key stakeholders

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and reporting skills.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulations and procedures.

  • Excellent time management skills, working with multiple deadline.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong MS Office Skills.

  • CICM Qualification or Time served experience.
