Due to continued business expansion Mick George Ltd are looking to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our Tipper transport operation at Head Office, Huntingdon. The successful candidate will have previous experience within Aggregate/ Muck industry with a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Role Insight
  • First point of contact for all customers wishing to place aggregate/ muck orders

  • Responsibility for first class Customer experience to include:

    • Taking orders via telephone in a timely and accurate manner.

    • Booking orders onto Roadrunner

    • Order confirmations.

    • Communicating ETA’s and updating customers on any delays.

    • Dealing with any other customer queries in an efficient manner.

  • Proactively develop and maintain professional working relationships with all customers ensuring high retention levels at all times.

  • Work closely with the planners to ensure optimisation of the entire tipper fleet ensuring that we remain efficient and cost effective at all times.

  • Ensure all databases are up to date with the most accurate information.

  • Proactively seek to maintain no late deliveries or missed time slots.

Key Skills/Qualifications required
  • Industry knowledge is paramount for this role, with the ability to analyse and optimise fleet usage for benefit of the customers and the business.

  • Excellent geographical knowledge.

  • Ability to ‘think fast’ and make decisions under pressure whilst working to tight deadlines.

  • Exceptional customers service/ account management skills with the ability to confidently manage high call volumes.

  • Excellent IT literacy with experience of using Roadrunner software desirable.
