Role Insight

Due to continued business growth and internal promotion, we are now looking for an ambitious and pro-active Plant Maintenance Supervisor. The successful candidate will have an extensive background of hands on engineering experience within a Heavy Plant environment.

 
  • Responsible for carrying out quality audits on maintenance undertaken on all fixed and mobile plant.

  • To complete inspections of all fixed and mobile plant and machinery to ensure accurate schedule of works.

  • Scheduling and coordination of engineers’ and welders’ workload, ensuring work is carried out effectively with minimal downtime.

  • Overseeing Health & Safety for all mobile fitters and welders and completing RAMS where necessary.

  • Liaise with stakeholders such as managers and directors to advise of planned downtime to plant.

  • Identify and implement improvement, cost saving and sustainable opportunities alongside the Plant Maintenance Manager and Engineering Director.

  • Ensure your team perform to the standards expected by the company, escalating any issues where necessary and identifying any additional training requirement.

Key Skills/Qualifications required
  • Must have an excellent technical knowledge of Heavy Plant & Quarry machinery.

  • Hold a recognised Engineering qualification or be time served in a similar role.  

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to plan and prioritise own workload, and workload of others.

  • Ability to work to under pressure to tight deadlines

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Confident manager of people.

  • Must have a strong and robust character with the ability to question decisions and delegate efficiently.
